About
DeepSeek Harness is an open agent runtime built so that nearly everything, models, tools, skills, sessions, sandboxes, and the interface, loads as a plug-in. That makes it easy to swap pieces in and out instead of being locked to one setup. It is still a developer preview, so expect things to change and treat it as a place to experiment, not a foundation for production yet.

Setup
- Install Node.js if you do not have it yet
- Run the launch command to open the web interface
- Read the safety notice in the repo before running anything serious
- Try a small task with a plug-in or two
- Remember it is a developer preview, so check the docs before relying on any behavior
Example
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh webUse cases
- Try out a plug-in style agent runtime without committing to it
- Build a custom agent by combining plug-ins instead of writing everything yourself
- Test how an agent behaves with different models and tools swapped in
