About

Groq runs AI models on custom fast chips, making it one of the quickest ways to get AI answers. Often in under a second. You get a free API key with no credit card, and it speaks the same format as OpenAI's API, so existing code usually works by changing one URL. It also does fast speech-to-text with Whisper models.

Setup

  1. Sign up at console.groq.com (Google or email, no card).
  2. Open API Keys and click Create API Key.
  3. Copy the key (starts with gsk_).
  4. Send requests to https://api.groq.com/openai/v1/chat/completions with Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY.
