Habitica turns your habits, daily tasks, and to-dos into a role-playing game where completing real-life tasks earns you gear and pets. Its v3 API exposes everything: habits, dailies, to-dos, checklists, rewards, and scoring. Your free user ID and API token are found right in your account settings.

Setup

  1. Create a free Habitica account.
  2. Open Settings, then the API section, to find your user ID and API token.
  3. Include x-api-user, x-api-key, and x-client headers in every request.
  4. Use the tasks endpoints to create habits, dailies, and to-dos.
  5. Score tasks up or down via the API to earn rewards automatically.
