Setup

  1. Sign up for a free Twitch account and turn on two-factor authentication.
  2. Go to the Twitch developer console and register a new application (set client type to Confidential).
  3. Copy the Client ID and generate a Client Secret.
  4. Exchange those for an access token at id.twitch.tv, then query the API with the Client-ID and Bearer token headers.
