About

Playwright MCP is Microsoft's open-source server that hands an AI agent a real Chromium browser it can drive. The agent sees each page as an accessibility tree and can click buttons, fill forms, navigate, and take screenshots, which means a coding agent can finally verify its own frontend work instead of guessing. It runs entirely on your machine under Apache 2.0, with no account or API key. If you build web apps with AI help, this closes the loop between writing code and checking it.

Setup
