Polygon.io provides U.S. stock, options, and forex market data through a clean REST API. You can use it to pull aggregated daily bars for charting, to look up ticker details and splits, or to feed delayed quotes into a watchlist app. The free tier is delayed by about 15 minutes and limited to a few requests per minute, which is plenty for learning and personal projects.
