ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer API gives you free, no-key access to IRS data on America's tax-exempt organizations: names, addresses, tax-exempt status, and their Form 990 financial filings showing revenue, salaries, and spending. You can search by name, filter by state or nonprofit category, and pull a full organization record by its tax ID (EIN). Great for vetting charities or investigating where donations go.

Setup
