About
REA is one MCP server and command-line tool that lets a coding agent look inside apps and binaries it has no source for. It can take apart native binaries, Electron and JavaScript apps, .NET programs, Android packages, and firmware, then explain how a feature works with evidence attached. It runs locally with no account.
Details
Open source. You run it yourself.

Setup
- Install ONLY from the npm package rea-agents or github.com/morluto/rea. A lookalike repo appeared Oct 10, 2026, so do not install from any other source
- Run the setup command and approve the agent changes it proposes
- Restart your agent afterward
- Ask your agent to explain how a feature works in one of your own apps
- Use it only on your own apps, open-source software, or with permission, since many licenses forbid reverse engineering
Example
npx rea-agents setupUse cases
- Understand how a feature works in an app you have no source for
- Take apart an Electron app or Android package with evidence attached
- Rebuild a feature in your own project based on what you learned
