About

Shopify gives developers free development stores for building and testing apps and themes, with no time limit and no limit on the number of stores. Dev stores cannot process real transactions, but you can place unlimited test orders through the Bogus Gateway or a payment provider's test mode. The GraphQL Admin API is fully available in dev stores, with standard API rate limits. A free Shopify Partner account is all you need to start.

Setup

  1. Create a free Shopify Partner account.
  2. Create a development store from the Partner dashboard.
  3. Create a custom app in the dev store to get API credentials.
  4. Install the app to generate an Admin API access token.
  5. Call the GraphQL Admin API with the X-Shopify-Access-Token header.
